Oxford University Rowing Clubs (OURCs), who run all of the inter-collegiate rowing races, are looking for a new sponsor.

Last year, for the first time, the main Summer Eights bumps regatta (using Torpids regulations) was professionally live streamed online and picked up in excess of 75,000 viewers in 95 separate countries watching both live and play back footage of the races.  Funding for this one off trial was provided by anonymous benefactors but now that the success of this experiment has been shown there is a clear opportunity for the right partner to brand this footage and be clearly identified as a supporter of Oxford rowing.

In addition to the live stream there is considerable opportunity for branding the races at the river, including naming the event as the ‘XXX Summer Eights’.  In a non COVID year, the Saturday of Summer Eights can expect to attract 20,000 or more spectators on the river bank, made up of students, alumni and friends of the University.  We’d be interested in talking to a partner who wanted to work with us for any period between 1 and 5 years.    Rowing is a sport that a majority of Oxford students expect to either participate in or watch during their time at the University and its association with the University is as strong today as it always has been so this represents an unrivalled opportunity to sponsor an event that has substantial exposure in all colleges to both students and alumni.
