Honorary Life President

Ryan visited the Club this week as part of a tour of Oxford, to be surprised by Club President Matt Williams, Chairman of the VATC, Ian Ritchie and former VATC Chairman, Melville Guest, with the presentation of his name on the Vincent’s Club Board.

Ryan has been a major supporter of both Vincent’s Club and Oxford sport. A significant Club benefactor, he has given funding for two Annual Ryan Millsap Vincent’s Scholar Athlete Awards for outstanding US scholar athletes with an interest in pursuing studies at Oxford and contributing to American Football.

As a champion of supporting sport, he has funded the establishment of an endowment for American Football at Oxford University and the construction of the RC Millsap Pitch in University Parks.

In conjunction with the indefatigable drive of former Vincent’s Club Secretary and Lancers’ President, Stewart Humble (pictured), the team and sport has gone from strength to strength.

This year, 48 players were rotated in front of packed bleachers at University Parks at the RC Millsap Pitch, to see Oxford Lancers convincingly beat the Cambridge Pythons 41-7 and bring the Blues Bowl back to Oxford.

Ryan is a highly successful businessman based in Atlanta and is credited with building Blackhall Studios, the largest film studios outside of California. His interests are varied across real estate, capital management and media and he is an adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California.
