Are you a high-performance athlete in Year 12 or 13, interested in applying to the University of Oxford?
If so, please read on to find out how you could benefit from bespoke, free, online 1-to-1 mentoring delivered by current Oxford students.
Vincent’s Club is a community of dedicated and approachable student athletes, united by gratitude for how sport has enriched our university experience. We are keen to raise awareness that it is possible to balance a passion for competitive sport with academic success.
In particular, we would love to help passionate and ambitious athletes, who might not otherwise receive much support through the application process.
How could you benefit from the scheme?
This year, our mentoring scheme will operate virtually, allowing flexible, ongoing support. Mentees will be put in contact with a current Vincent’s Club member, who shares similar academic interests. Over email or videocall, mentors will be able to share their own experiences of the course, sport and wider university life, as well as offering advice on personal statements, entrance exams and the interview process.
Who is the scheme targeting?
We welcome applications from students currently in Year 12 or 13, who are dedicated to performance sport and are interested in studying at the University of Oxford. We are particularly keen to recruit mentees from backgrounds that are under-represented at the university.
