On Tuesday this week, Vincent’s welcomed sports legend and national treasure, Kate Richardson-Walsh, GB Hockey Olympic Gold Medal Captain from Rio 2016, for an LGBTQ+ sports speaker evening.
GB’s most capped female with 375 appearances for her country, Kate has won 19 medals, scored 49 International goals and was GB and England Captain for 13 years.
Her talk, to a packed Club, covered her journey from bronze medal at London 2012 through Rio and onwards into a life of leadership and representation and was brutally honest, open and heartfelt. An inspiring sportsperson and leader, Kate joined members for a post talk dinner and made a significant impact on a memorable evening.
