Generously funded by Ryan Millsap and hosted by Vincent’s Club, the Vincent’s Ryan Millsap Scholarships for American Football are now available to students for academic entry to the University of Oxford in September 2023.
These two scholarships are to encourage the best American Football players to attend the University of Oxford, to play for the University’s American Football team - the Lancers, and to participate fully in Oxford’s opportunities.
Applicants should be current or recent American Football student-athletes in good standing with their university. Alongside the award criteria of excellence in sport and academics, leadership qualities, and commitment to others, the successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding academic performance at the level necessary to gain a graduate studies place at Oxford.
The goal of the Scholarships is to help Oxford sport, as well as the individuals, and enrich the students’ cross-cultural experience. We hope that the Millsap Scholars will leverage every opportunity at Oxford, including the chance to row for their College, and leverage their Oxford experience to lead a life of service leadership when they return home, or wheresoever they live.
These new Scholarships are part of a growing family of Vincent’s Awards that Vincent’s Club is able to make to outstanding scholar-athlete leaders with a strong commitment to help others.

Vincent’s Club, a student-run club founded over 150 years ago in 1863, seeks to help the University of Oxford to maintain and enhance its tradition as one of the great universities of the world. The Club seeks to foster excellence in sport and provide a setting where like-minded men and women may meet and socialise.
TeamGleas will support the candidates with the application process for the Scholarship and admission to Oxford. Note that being awarded the Scholarship does not gain the recipients entry to the University of Oxford - this must be achieved independently.
